A mounting bracket 10 is disclosed that can be attached magnetically to a trim panel 12 to hold the end of an optic fibre. A ferromagnetic 30 is placed behind the trim panel 12 and the mounting bracket 10 itself incorporates a permanent magnet 16 of sufficient strength to locate the mounting bracket 10 on the front side of the trim panel 12 with the trim panel 12 sandwiched between the mounting bracket 10 and the plate 30. The bracket has mutually pivoted parts, 14, 18 and 22 that allow full adjustability and orientation of the fibre optic cable end, which may have a nut for threading into hole 28 on supporting plate 26. The trim panel is generally that of a motor vehicle, and plate 26 can also support coloured filters and lenses via bracket (38, Fig 3). |
