PURPOSE: A mode for inspecting the reliability of an electric rice cooker is provided to perform the output inspection in initially inputting a cooking key and to shorten inspection time and improve productivity without temporarily stopping the output in changing an inspection mode. CONSTITUTION: A mode for inspecting the reliability of an electric rice cooker is composed of steps for supplying electric power to upper and side hot plates in inputting a cooking key; supplying electric power to a lower hot plate after a constant time; and cutting off electric power supplied to the upper, lower, and side hot plates if getting to a set temperature in changing the inspection mode by continuously inputting the cooking key. Time for supplying electric power to the lower hot plate after supplying electric power to the upper and side hot plates is 1.5 seconds. The continuous input of the cooking key is performed at three times and the last input is kept for the constant time.
