<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify and miniaturize a shift operating force transmitting mechanism from a shift operating lever to a shift fork and ensure a footwell for a rider, in a shift operating device for an off-road vehicle. SOLUTION: The shift operating device for an off-road vehicle has a geared shift mechanism switchable at least to forward high speed, forward low speed, neutral and reverse by means of a single shift fork. A shift operating lever 15 extending upward is disposed above an engine and adjacently below either of the right and left of steering handlebars 4. One change lever shaft 21 connectedly interlocked with the shift fork is projected upward from the rear end of the engine 12 on the same side that the shift operating lever is disposed. The change lever shaft 21 and the shift operating lever 15 are connectedly interlocked via a single coupling rod 20 along an engine side.</p> |
