<p>PURPOSE: To provide a starting controller of a generation-oriented water wheel with a dummy load governor whereby the setting of the starting opening of the water wheel is made unnecessary, by controlling the speed regulation of the water wheel through adjusting the dummy load of a generator in a hydroelectric power station with the comparably large fluctuation of its effective head. CONSTITUTION: In a hydroelectric power station with a comparably large fluctuation of its effective head, a dummy load 22 for feeding the output power of a generator 12 thereto and a dummy load governor 20 for controlling the rotary speed of a water wheel 11 by adjusting the resistance value of the dummy load 22 responding to the rotary speed of the water wheel 11 while using as a control power supply the power of the generator 12 are provided additionally. In the case of starting the water wheel 11, the opening of the guide vane of the water wheel 11 is controlled continuously from its starting until the generator 12 is inputted synchronously in parallel to a power system. Thereby, the rotary speed of the water wheel 11 is regulated by the dummy load governor 20.</p> |
