<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture processor and a picture processing method capable of executing smooth inversion reproduction. SOLUTION: When inversion reproduction is instructed, B and P pictures in an MPEG video stream are temporarily decoded, re-encoded into the B pictures by an MPEG video encoder 6 again, and a re-encoded data string constituted of I pictures in the MPEG video stream and the B pictures is generated and overwritten in a storage area 4a of a hard disk 4. An MPEG video decoder 7 anti-time sequentially reads, successively decodes the re-encoded data string, and outputs it to a display circuit 9.</p> |
