The present invention refers to a dampened symmetric oscillator for gas discharging lamps or fluorescent that consists in a symmetric electronic circuit, dampened to avoid the strong oscillating currents produced during its operation and which are due mainly to the electric current discharges that occur in gas or fluorescent lamps during their operation. These oscillating currents affect the correct commutation of transistors, for its disposition in the circuit, being a condition that when one of the transistors becomes a conducer, the other one not thus preventing a short-circuit because it does not exist in the disposition of the elements in the circuit any charge connected in between for limiting the feeding potential current from the positive to the negative. These oscillating currents if not adequately dampened considerably affect the operation of the transistors, provoking heating in their components or even their destruction.
