PURPOSE: To provide the structure of a damping force adjusting part in which predetermined damping force adjustment is naturally realized, so-called much labor is not required when an energizing spring in a damping force adjusting mechanism is replaced, and besides valve characteristics may not be changed even after re-assemblage in comparison with a state before the replacement of the energizing spring, and desired damping force adjustment can be immediately realized so that this structure is optimized to be used for a hydraulic shock absorber suspended on the rear wheel side of a motorcycle. CONSTITUTION: An adjuster 5 is arranged to an adjuster assembly X, and also a fast valve 4 is arranged to a valve assembly Y, then an energizing spring 6 is held between the adjuster assembly X and the valve assembly Y. A channel communicated with an orifice O is formed by mutually linking the end sides of the adjuster assembly X and the valve assembly Y under such a condition that they are frequented, and the set length of the energizing spring 6 is formed to be changed by outside operation for an adjuster case 11 in which the adjuster 5 is movably stored so as to compose the adjuster assembly X. |
