PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid droplet detection system capable of certainly detecting the ink droplet ejected from a nozzle orifice even when the nozzle orifice is formed in the vicinity of the end edge of the nozzle surface of a printing head by providing a reflecting plate in adjacent relation to the end edge of the nozzle surface. SOLUTION: In a liquid droplet detection system equipped with an illumination lamp 11 obliquely irradiating the nozzle surface 3 having nozzle orifices 2 formed thereto of a printing head 1 and a CCD camera 12 detecting the light reflected by the nozzle surface 3 and passed through the flight route of the ink droplet 5 ejected from each of the nozzle orifices 2 to take the image of the ink droplet 5, a reflecting plate 13 is provided in adjacent relation to the end edge of the nozzle surface 3. Herein, the part adjacent to the end edge of the nozzle surface 3 of the reflecting plate 13 is pref. formed so as to diffuse and reflect light. |
