PURPOSE: An LCD device is provided to dispose a discharge circuit on the first substrate, and to discharge the first substrate such that the second signal except the first signal is not applied to signal lines, thereby preventing the signal lines or switching elements from being damaged. CONSTITUTION: An LCD device(500) consists of a TFT substrate(100), a color filter substrate(200), and an LCD panel(300) comprising a liquid crystal layer between the substrates(100,200). Gate and data driving circuits(130,140), a discharge circuit(150), and a signal delayer are formed on the TFT substrate(100). An FPC(Flexible Printed Circuit)(400) for applying an electric signal to the gate and data driving circuits(130,140) is attached to the LCD panel(300). The LCD panel(300) consists of a display region(D) displaying an image of the TFT substrate(100) and the first/second peripheral regions(S1,S2) formed around the display region(D). |
