NOVEL ANTIMICROBIAL THERMAL SENSITIVE GEL COMPOSITION FOR THROUGH VAGINA ADMINISTRATION

PURPOSE: Provided is a novel antimicrobial thermal sensitive gel composition for the through vagina administration, which is in a liquid state at ambient temperature while forming a gel in the vagina to be adhered to the vaginal mucosa, and easily makes the administration thereof while continuously exerting excellent medicinal effect. CONSTITUTION: An antimicrobial thermal sensitive gel composition for the through vagina administration comprises 30-35wt.% of poloxamer, 0.2-1wt.% of polycarbophil, and 0.9-1.1wt.% of clotrimazole. The pH of the composition is 3.5-4.5. The poloxamer is a mixture of poloxamer 188 and poloxamer 407 in a weight ratio of 1:1-1.5. The gelation temperature of the poloxamer is 25-35 deg.C.
