PURPOSE: A vertical axis wind turbine is provided to regularly realize the performance of high efficiency by changing pitch angles of blades by a sine. CONSTITUTION: A rotary center part(11) is vertically arranged and transmits rotary force to a generator. A rotor part(12) is formed of a plurality of blades(12a) arranged at equal intervals for generating rotary force from flowed wind. Support elements(13) rotatively support the plurality of blades centering on rotary shafts of the blades to change pitch angles of the blades, and are fixed at the rotary center part for connecting the rotary center part with the blades of the rotor part. A plurality of connecting members(15) are connected with an operating point of each blade separated from the rotary shaft of each blade by one end. A rotary body(16) is connected with the other ends of the connecting members, and rotates along with the rotor part. A pitch control unit(14) includes a control element(17) translating and rotating the center of the rotary body from a reference position so that the connecting members change the pitch angles of the blades by a sine according to the rotation of the blades, and changing phases of the blades corresponding to a direction of wind. |
