PURPOSE: A method is provided perform an authentication by using a CDMA subscriber authentication information as a user identification and password for a wireless LAN authentication. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step(202) of permitting a mobile terminal to read the electronic serial number of a CDMA module in accordance with the wireless LAN access request of a user; a second step(204) of permitting the mobile terminal to generate a user identification and password by using the read electronic serial number and transmit the generated user identification and password to a wireless LAN authentication server through an access point; and a step(208) of permitting the wireless LAN authentication server to receive the user identification and password, perform a wireless LAN service authentication by comparing the received user identification and password and the user identification and password stored in an authentication database, and transmit the result of authentication to the mobile terminal.
