The drive moves the switch between end positions in which it engages fixed contact parts. The movement of a contact drive shaft (10) is converted into movement of a movable contact part; the shaft is coupled to a drive plate (11) with two recesses (12,13) engaged by two linear drive elements (28,29;30,31). The linear drive elements pivot the plate out of a central position in one rotation direction and pivot the plate into first and second settings against this rotation direction, so that isolation switch off, earth switch off; isolation switch on, earth switch off; and isolation switch off, earth switch on settings are achieved for the middle, first and second switch positions respectively.
