PURPOSE: Provided is a wastewater treatment method being capable of rapidly removing highly concentrated solids, nitrogen and phosphorous from wastewater by a struvite precipitation method and recycling the struvite as fertilizer by increasing purity of crystallization of struvite. CONSTITUTION: In wastewater treatment works having a solid-liquid separator (1), a struvite precipitation reaction tank (2), a struvite tank (3) for storing the struvite precipitation, a two-step intermittent aeration tank (3,4) and a final clarifier, the method comprises the steps of separating solids from wastewater by the solid-liquid separator (1), causing struvite precipitation reaction for removing nitrogen and phosphorous in the precipitation reaction tank (2), intermittently aerating the decant water of the precipitation reaction tank using the two-step intermittent aeration tank (3,4) for nitrifying and denitrifying, and returning a small amount of the struvite precipitation stored in the struvite tank (3) to the struvite precipitation reaction tank (2) for increasing nitrogen removal efficiency.
