PURPOSE: A call setup method using a neighbor communication system in a mobile communication system is provided to allow for a quick service of voice and data and efficient use of control station resources. CONSTITUTION: A call setup method comprises a step of permitting a base station to transmit an origination message to a control station when a mobile station(100) gains access to the base station so as to be provided with a voice call or data service; a step of permitting the control station who has received the origination message to search an effective resource, and transmit a message for checking the existence of the effective resource to the neighbor control station if the effective resource does not exist; a step of performing a call setup procedure when an acknowledge message is received from the neighbor control station; and a step of requesting a traffic to the neighbor control station, and permitting the neighbor control station to request a traffic to a mobile switching center(300) and perform communication.
