MINING, LIFTING METHOD AND RECOVERY DEVICE FOR MANGANESE MASS

PURPOSE: A mining and lifting method for manganese mass is provided to heighten work efficiency on the sea, to mine and lift manganese mass effectively and to reduce the production costs for manganese mass. CONSTITUTION: The mining and lifting method for manganese mass comprises the steps of installing a recovery device(5) to the seabed using barges(8,10) attached with buoys(9); remote-controlling a mining device(4) using a sound transmitter-receiver(15) installed on the base of a mother ship(1) and mining manganese mass scattered on the seabed; discharging and gathering the manganese mass(12) to the recovery device(5) using a manganese mass launching device(50); monitoring the whole process of a mining device(4) using a video camera(11) in the mother ship(1); lifting up the manganese mass(12) to a winch(14) using an A-frame trolley attached to the mother ship(1); after recovering the lift manganese mass(12) in the mother ship(1), the descending the recovery device to the seabed; and floating the mining device(4) and the recovery device(5) after finishing collecting the manganese mass(12) in the area.
