PURPOSE: A data recording control device is provided to compensate for a recording start address showing a recording start position based on a detection circuit, and to determine an additional start timing of new data according to the address, thereby properly adding the data based on address information. CONSTITUTION: A data position counter(180) performs a count operation by being synchronized with an operation reproducing data written on an optical disk(40). An LPP position counter(160) performs a count operation by being synchronized with a reproduction operation of a disk address recorded on the disk(40). An error detection circuit(190) detects a deviation between an address of a data format of the data recorded on the disk(40) and an address of the disk(40) based on two count values. A control unit(30) sets the address of the disk(40) for starting an adding process, based on a detected result of the error detection circuit(190). A timing control circuit(140) determines a timing for start the adding process according to the address.
