PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply system for a gasoline engine, capable of solving the problem of plugging of a carburetor caused by volatilization of a fuel volatile component in the carburetor during a long stopping period and making gummy the fuel volatile component in the carburetor. SOLUTION: This fuel supply system for a gasoline engine is provided with a fuel cock 3 to shut out fuel supply from a fuel tank 1 to the carburetor 2. The fuel cock 3 is set to be changed over in three ways. As a three-way changeover attitude, an operating attitude 4, a normal stopping attitude 5 and a long term stopping attitude 6 are set. In the operating attitude 4, fuel can be supplied from the fuel tank 1 to the carburetor 2. In the normal stopping attitude 5, the engine is stopped and also fuel supply from the fuel tank 1 to the carburetor 2 is shut out. In the long term stopping attitude 5, fuel supply from the fuel tank 1 to the carburetor 2 is shut out and also fuel is returned from the carburetor 2 to the fuel tank 1 by a fuel returning pump 7. The fuel drain of the carburetor 2 is automatically performed by changing over the fuel cock 3 to the long term stopping attitude 6, thereby even during a long stopping period, the fuel draining operation of the carburetor 2 may be hardly forgotten.
