PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluidized bed apparatus which enables particles in a treatment vessel to flow and circulate well even when the flowability of the particles is poor and which can efficiently form a homogeneous coating film. SOLUTION: The lower end opening section 5b of a draft tube 5 is formed in a double conical pipe shape comprising an outer pipe section 5b1 and an inner pipe section 5b2. Between the outer pipe section 5b1 and the inner pipe section 5b2, a communication path 5b3 communicating with the inner and outer sides of the draft tube 5 is formed. One end of the communication path 5b3 communicates with an area near the base part B, where the static pressure is the lowest in the draft tube 5, and the other end of the communication path 5b3 opens toward the bottom periphery part of a treatment vessel 3, where the dwelling of particles tends to occur.
