<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform time reduction of PCNN algorithm, and non-segmentation of an unnecessary region. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for setting a region to three-dimensional medical image data by applying a pulse combination neural network algorithm (PCNN), a seed point to a three-dimensional medical image is set based on input to an input device (S2), a threshold is obtained based on the seed point (S3 and S4), threshold processing is performed based on the value of the seed point and the value of a point adjacent to the seed point (S9) and a new seed point is decided based on the result of this threshold processing (S10). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
