<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform edgeless printing without causing any shift in the allotting position of print data even when a multipage print function is employed. <P>SOLUTION: An input section 111 stores input print data of a plurality of pages in an input buffer 112. A designating section 114 designates the numbers J and K of the input print data being allotted to one sheet. J and K are positive integers representing the number of print data being allotted, respectively, in the x direction and the y direction on the print image of one sheet. An allotting section 113 reads out one page of input print data at a time from the input buffer 112, enlarges/contracts the print data based on the designated J and K, clips the area of print data depending on the allotting position of the sheet, and delivers a print image to an output buffer 115.
