<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronous reproduction of a media data packet. <P>SOLUTION: In a digital audio transmission system, the media data packets 1021 and 1022 are sent from a media source 101 to media SYNCs 1 and 2 (forexample, loudspeaker). The media data packets 1021 and 1022 have to be synchronously reproduced. A common reproduction time 105 is decided by the media source 101 or by the media SYNCs 1 and 2, and the media data packets 1021 and 1022 are buffered until they become the common reproduction time 105 to make it sure that the media data packets 1021 and 1022 are synchronously reproduced by the different media SYNCs 1 and 2. The media source 101 or the media SYNCs 1 and 2 decide the common reproduction time 105 according to a global wall clock time calculated corresponding to a sample clock time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
