<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable excellent density control by previously detecting the triboelectricity quantity of a toner almost in a state wherein development is actually carried out. <P>SOLUTION: An arm 504 is supported in a swingable state by a support part 314b of a developing container 314a and a triboelectric electrode 502 is fitted atop of the arm 504; and a pressure sensor 505 is fitted between the triboelectric electrode 502 and support part 314 and a counter weight 505 is fitted to a base end part. The triboelectric electrode 502 is held at the same potential with a photoreceptor drum to stick a toner. The electric charge quantity of the stuck toner and the mass detected by the pressure sensor 503 are used to calculate a triboelectricity quantity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
