<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an optical transmission in an optional wavelength band of a range of 1,300-1,650 nm by a single optical fiber, and to realize the optical transmission eithout needing a dispersion compensation device especially in the optical transmission of a comparatively short distance. <P>SOLUTION: A dispersion value D ps/nm/km in optional wavelengthλnm out of a wavelength band of 1,300-1,650 nm is set to 5≤D≤11 when 1,550<λ≤1,650, set to 3≤D≤10 when 1,450<λ≤1,550, set to -1≤D≤7 when 1,350<λ≤1,450, and set to -4≤D≤3 when 1,300<λ≤1,350. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
