PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settlement method which prevents the unauthorized use of a credit card and does not require the notification of a credit card number to a dealer when an article is bought.

SOLUTION: Following parts are provided: a creation part 401 that creates data D2 which are different from credit card information and for making credit settlement instead on the basis of prescribed information; an output part 402 which outputs the data D2 to the communication device 50 of a user having a credit card; an input part 403 which inputs the data D5 for making credit settlement instead of the credit card information from a dealer's communication device 3 when a request for buying a prescribed article is notified to the dealer's communication device 3 from the user's communication device 50; and a determination part 404 which determines whether the data D2 and data D5 satisfy prescribed conditions. The output part 402 outputs information on the result of the determination to the dealer's communication device 3.
