PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film excellent in optical isotropy, not liable to deform in a high temperature environment, favorably good in surface smoothness and water vapor barrier property, extremely low in dimension variation after high temperature heating, and suitable for display use. SOLUTION: This optical film is, for example, a polycarbonate film containing 30-80 mol% fluorene skeleton as a copolymerization component, and contains 0.001-0.3 wt% solvent in the film.
