PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide facsimile capable of preventing a deterioration in image quality. SOLUTION: In this facsimile, memory transmission is switched to direct transmission when an original to be transmitted is wider than receiving recording paper notified from a receiving side, when transmitting side selection linear density is finer than receiving side recordable linear density notified from the receiving side, or in a photograph mode.
