PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate problems that rigidity and heat expansibility of an EL element become uneven when the EL element in the display is sealed only at the peripheral part of two sheet-like substrates and the interval between the sheet-like substrates can not be maintained constant, and enable to express more freely characters and graphics for a display. SOLUTION: The EL light-emitting part 7 which is constituted by laminating a first electrode 4, an EL luminous layer 5, and a second electrode 6 to order is sealed wholly including the peripheral part between a first film-like substrate 2 and a second film-like substrate 10, and a light transparent pattern 11 is laminated on the bottom face of the film-like substrate 2.
