PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device in which recording quality of information to be recorded on an optical disk is improved and to provide a recording control method of the device. SOLUTION: The device conducts control of the rotation and the recording of an optical disk based on rotation control wobble signals and first prepit signals used for recording position retrieval. The device is provided with a first PLL means which compares phases of the binary signals of the wobble signals with reference clock signals, a second PLL means which compares phases of the reference clock signals obtained from the first PLL means with binary signals of the first prepit signals and outputs clock signals to record information on an information track, a detecting means which detects the second prepit signals corresponding to an adjacent information track side and a control means which outputs control signals to invalidate the phase comparison output of the first PLL means for a prescribed time when the detecting means detects the second prepit signals employing a threshold value used to binarize the wobble signals.
