PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold copper plate of a mold for continuous casting with which uniform slow cooling effect is stably obtained for a long time. SOLUTION: On the surface of the mold copper plate, recessed parts are locally formed and on the most-surface of the copper plate , a material having smaller wetting angle to fused mold flux than that of either of Cr or Ni is coated.
