<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a life jacket easily attachable to the human body, easy to use, allowing an easy operation when attached to the human body. <P>SOLUTION: The life jacket has a cover 1, a bladder 2, and a cutter 3 attached thereto. The cover 1 has a flat lateral-long shape put on around the person's waist, and has an upper edge 1a and a bottom edge 1b that can be folded so as to form a flat cylindrical shape having an opening in a horizontal direction. A mesh member 8 is sewn on a center of the bottom edge 1b for allowing permeation of water. The bladder 2 is a floating body having a plane shape, such as a horseshoe shape, and can be folded into the cover 1. When the person falls into water, water entering into the cover 1 through such as the mesh member 8 causes the cutter 3 to operate so as to send carbon dioxide gas to the bladder 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
