PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for easily customizing the display screen of a digital camera. SOLUTION: A data creating apparatus for creating customized data for the display screen of the digital camera has a display section for imitatively displaying the display screen of the digital camera and a mouse for inputting a position designation command. Additionally, the data creating apparatus creates the customized data regarding the display screen of the digital camera according to the position designation command inputted by the mouse or the like. At the right side of the display section in the data creating apparatus, a preview screen where both the EVF and LCD of the digital camera are imitatively displayed is displayed. Contrarily, at a left side, setting items are listed. A user performs customization processing by mouse operation while seeing the preview screen displayed at the display section or the like.
