摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable simply and quickly prepare an LUT (look up table: error lookup table) which compensates measurement errors in position coordinates caused by distortion of a magnetic field, in a position instrumentation system. SOLUTION: A magnetic type motion capture system is provided with a measurement rod 3 wherein a plurality of magnetic sensors 2 are rectilinearly arranged at an equal interval L on a rod 1 composed of nonmagnetic material, and a transmitter 4. The measurement rod 3 is move arbitrarily in a measuring range. Difference of position coordinate obtained from the magnetic sensors fixed to the measurement rod and position coordinates obtained by calculation is compared, thereby obtaining magnitude of error and reliability of error.
