PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lever type insertion-coupling connector compact as a whole capable of insertion-coupling in a low profile and excellent in protection of a lever. SOLUTION: With the connector equipped with a first connector 10, a second connector 20 capable of getting insertion-coupled with it, and a connector holder 30 capable of tentatively housing the second connector, the first connector has a freely turning lever 40 provided with a first rotation regulation means 18, a second rotation regulation means 19, a cam groove 45, and an arm part 46 at an opposite side to the cam groove, and the second connector is provided with an engagement pin 25 capable of being engaged with the cam groove of the lever. The connector holder is provided with a first releasing means 38 releasing a regulation by the first rotation regulation means in engagement with a first turning regulation means, and a second releasing means 36b releasing the tentative housing in the connector holder of the second connector.
