PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a ceramic electronic component having a desirable electrical characteristic by preventing a glass component contained in a ceramic prime field from eluting into an Ni plating solution. SOLUTION: When performing electroless Ni plating of the conductive part 4 formed on the surface of the ceramic prime field 1 containing the borosilicate glass, an amine compound such as glycine is added as a complexing agent to the electroless Ni plating solution used to form an Ni-P coating 5 on the conductive part 4. Alternatively, a carboxylic acid may be added to the Ni-plating solution as the complexing agents in addition to the amine compound, provided that≥50% amine compound, calculated in terms of ligand concentration, is contained in the Ni plating solution against the total of organic compounds in the Ni plating solution.
