PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pen nib for a writing instrument and a manufacturing method therefor, which ensure the smooth outflow of a high-viscosity ink without making a malfunction occur in writing because a bundle of fibers spreads out, which prevent an ink passage in a core from being clogged with a pigment with a large particle size, and which can maintain an initial line width and a good writing feeling. SOLUTION: This pen nib for the writing instrument is composed of the bundle of the fibers, which can be obtained by bundling the fibers, and bonding and curing them by means of a binder resin. The pen nib is characterized in that at least a surface, which serves as a writing surface, of the bundle of the fibers is covered with a sintered body which is composed of thermoplastic resin powder.
