PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair which facilitates the transfer of a user from or to other locations (bed, or the like). SOLUTION: A seat surface 24 is installed on a rotatable rotary board to make the seat surface 24 alone rotatable, not the whole of the wheelchair. The seat is made liftable with a hydraulic jack. As a result, even in a narrow place such as the side part of a bed in a sickroom or a rest room, the seat surface 24 can be turned in the direction of facilitating the transfer of the user onto it.
