<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a processing efficiency by reducing uneven distribution in loads of a plurality of CPUs in a printer having the CPUs. <P>SOLUTION: This printer 100 comprises a main data processor 110 and a sub-data processor 130. The main data processor 110 writes raster data into a shared memory 120 by interpreting document data described in XHTML-print. The sub-data processor 130 reads the raster data from the shared memory 120, performs color conversion processing and halftone processing, and then performs the printing. The processing contents of the data processors are classified into a high level processing such as interpreting of document data and a processing of large amount of data such as raster data, thereby improving the processing efficiency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
