STEREOSCOPIC IMAGE DISPLAY APPARATUS, AND POLARIZING GLASSES APPARATUS FOR STEREOSCOPIC IMAGE DISPLAY APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic image display apparatus adopting polarizing eyeglasses wherein a stereoscopic image with high quality can always be viewed by making the positional relation of the polarizing eyeglasses with respect to an image display screen nearly constant in the case of viewing the stereoscopic image on the stereoscopic image display apparatus.

SOLUTION: A polarizing eyeglasses apparatus for the stereoscopic image display apparatus serves for fitting the polarized eyeglasses to the stereoscopic image display apparatus 5 provided with an image display section 6 including an image display means for displaying image information corresponding to parallax and a polarization control means for dividing the image information to control a polarization direction. The polarizing eyeglasses apparatus is provided with a fitting means 3 removably fitted to the image display section at one end of a support arm, the polarizing eyeglasses 4 being supported at the other end of the support arm. The position of the polarizing eyeglasses is kept nearly at a position apart from the image display section by the length of the support arm.
