<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nucleic acid-protein complex obtained by translating a RNA of a RNA-DNA conjugate into a protein, and to provide a method for efficiently selecting the protein, by using the nucleic acid-protein complex. <P>SOLUTION: This method for selecting the nucleic acid and/or the protein includes processes (1) to (4), wherein the process (1) comprises (a) preparing a single-strand DNA containing such a DNA sequence on a side of its 3' end as to be annealed with a 3' end of a single-strand RNA or a derivative of the single-strand DNA, (b) annealing the single-strand DNA or the derivative with the single-strand DNA, and (c) preparing the RNA-DNA conjugate by combining the 3' end of the single-strand RNA which is the annealed product with a 5' end of the single-strand DNA or the derivative, the process (2) comprises translating the RNA of the RNA-DNA conjugate into the protein and structuring the nucleic acid-protein complex composed of the RNA and the protein encoded by the RNA, the process (3) comprises selecting the nucleic acid-protein complex, and the process (4) comprises amplifying a nucleic acid part of the selected nucleic acid-protein complex. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
