PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoresis display device for performing high gradation display in display quality at low cost. SOLUTION: A unit circuit 21a has a dispersion system 10 and a switching transistor 7 which is brought into conduction when a scanning line Ym is selected and which applies a data voltage which is supplied from a data line Xn to the pixel electrode 6 of the dispersion system. A selection circuit 34 selects suitably a positive voltage Vp from a positive voltage output circuit 31, a common voltage Vcom from a common voltage output circuit 32 and a negative voltage Vn from a negative voltage output circuit 33 and outputs the selected voltage to the data line Xn. A timing signal generation circuit 35 outputs timing signals TS1 to TS3 to the selection circuit 34 for a prescribed time.
