PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material which ensures a small increase in fog even after a prolonged retention period despite of high sensitivity and high image quality. SOLUTION: In the heat developable photosensitive material having at least one layer comprising a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a silver ion reducing agent and a binder on a support, the layer further contains 0.05-5 parts by mass of a polypropylene glycol monomethyl ether based on 100 parts by mass of the binder in the layer.
