PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymeric MDI having good reactivity, containing little impurities such as an acid component and a hydrolyzable chlorine, having very superior hue obtained by decoloring the discolored one, and hardly allowing the progress of discoloration by an industrial, economical and simple method. SOLUTION: The method for reducing the discoloration of the polymeric MDI comprises adding 0.001-10 wt.% tetraalkoxysilane to the polymeric MDI, and heating the resultant mixture to 30-220°C.
