PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire having improved durability by achieving an appropriate bead structure of the tire manufactured in a so-called core molding method for preventing the dislocation of a carcass ply, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The radial tire comprises a carcass 7 consisting of at least one toroidally extending ply 6, a belt 9 arranged on a crown portion 8 of the carcass 7 for reinforcing a tread portion 5, and a bead core 2 consisting of at least two split beads 2a, 2b having a plurality of stages of non-expansible cords laminated and arranged in the radial direction of the tire. Each ply 6 of the carcass 7 has an end 6a held and fixed between the radial centers of the cords 12 constituting the split bead 2a between the split beads 2a, 2b in the state of a wavy sectional shape having approximately one wavelength.
