METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING GOLF BALL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently obtain uniform golf balls. SOLUTION: A mold 8 consisting of a top die 9 including a semispherical projection part 11 and a bottom die 10 including a semispherical recess part 13 is prepared for manufacturing the golf balls. Release treatment is applied to the top die 9. Rubber composition is introduced into the mold 8 and the mold 8 is tightened. Tightening the mold 8 renders the rubber composition fluid to mold a half shell 14. Succeedingly the mold 8 is opened. Applying the release treatment to the top die 9 releases the half shell 14 from the top die 9 at the mold break. The half shell 14 is kept on the recess part 13 of the bottom die 10. A center is introduced into the half shell 14 and the center is covered by another half shell 14. Two half-shells 14 and the center compose a preliminary molding. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
