<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified type phospholipase D useful for a cosmetic base, a medicine, etc., and exhibiting properties useful for producing a phospholipid and a derivative of the phospholipid and a method for enhancing the stability. <P>SOLUTION: The method for enhancing the stability of the expressed phospholipase is carried out as follows. A nucleic acid encoding an amino acid residue A or a residue corresponding to the amino acid residue A is substituted with a nucleic acid encoding a Val, a Phe, a Trp or a Ser in the nucleic acid encoding the modified type phospholipase D containing an amino acid sequence represented by Thr-Gly-Gly-Ile-Asn-A'-Trp-Lys (wherein, A' is the Val, the Phe, the Trp or the Ser) or an amino acid sequence in which the sequence homology is at least 75% when the score in alignment of the sequence with the Smith-Waterman algorithm is at least 48 and the residue corresponding to the A' is the Val, the Phe, the Trp or the Ser and a phospholipase D containing an amino acid sequence in which the residue corresponding to the A is Gly or Asp. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
