AIR HEATING HEATER AND SAUNA USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air heating heater capable of easily deodorizing and sterilizing even in a space having high degree of foulness such as a sauna room without requiring personnel expenses and facility cost and to provide a purifying device such as a sauna using the heater.

SOLUTION: In this air heating heater, a heating element 2 in which a far infrared radiation radiating treatment layer is applied on a surface of an electric heater and a gas heater or a heater is arranged in a temperature raising air circulation passage inside a case body 1, and a catalyst body 6 having deodorizing function is mounted on a temperature raising air outlet on the downstream side of the heating element 2. The catalyst produced by adding tourmaline powders to deodorizing catalyst containing a precious metal component and having deodorizing function and function for generating negative ion together is used as the catalyst body 6 by coating it on a honeycomblike carrier.
