<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument (file) for expansion of a root canal with which the cutting property of diamond is effectively magnified. <P>SOLUTION: In dental treatment, the instrument for expansion of the root canal is attachably and detachably mounted to the tip of a hand piece incorporating an ultrasonic oscillator, and the tip is inserted to the root canal and ultrasonic-oscillated for expand the root canal.
