<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise or vibration or both of them generated from a multi-cylinder type compressor, by providing suction ports at intervals. <P>SOLUTION: A valve plate formed with a plurality of the suction ports 900a to 900g, and a plurality of cylinder bores 16a<SB>1</SB>to 16a<SB>6</SB>of diameters D having centers on arcs of radii R are provided. The center of the first suction port is at a position diametrically deviated from the center of a prescribed suction port of a diameter d in a prescribed direction by a first angle. The first angle is equal to the expression ä[(360°/N)×([N-1]-n)]+X°}. N indicates the total number of the suction ports, and n indicates the number of the suction ports disposed between the first suction port and the prescribed suction port in the opposite direction to the prescribed direction. X°is a prescribed angle that is not more than ä(sin<SP>-1</SP>[(D-d)/2×R])×57.3°/radian} and not less than -ä(sin<SP>-1</SP>[(D-d)/2×R])×57.3°/radian}, and not equal to 0°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
