PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication controlling method capable of stably maintaining network connection by a radio link by performing link control between the existing upper and lower protocol stacks and to provide a communication control program and a recording medium with the program recorded thereon. SOLUTION: In a PPPoE function protocol stack 3, processing that steadily monitors the state of the radio link established in a wireless LAN communication device 1 through a wireless LAN driver 2 is adopted. In addition, a characteristic method is adopted which includes processing for measuring the time duration of a disconnected state when the wireless LAN driver 2 notifies to the effect that the radio link that has been connected so far is shifted to a disconnected state in accordance with state monitoring of the radio link and processing for notifying a PPP protocol driver 4 to the effect that a PPP connection with a prescribed opposite communication party that is currently set in the PPP protocol driver 4 only when the time duration of the disconnected state of the radio link exceeds a predetermined set time.
